Weatherization Crew Member

Starting pay is $16.48, with a raise after 6 months employment, with great potential for advancement. Applicants must have the ability to safely use hand tools, possess basic carpentry skills, keep accurate records, the desire to work with low-income individuals, ability to lift heavy objects, ability to crawl in small spaces, ability to climb ladders and be available for out-of-town travel to attend training. Case Manager

Appalachian Community Action and Development Agency, Inc. (AppCAA) is searching for a Case Manager, to serve in Lee, Wise and Scott County, VA. This position will perform social work, case management and employment services for clients served by AppCAA. Employee is responsible for assisting client in achieving self-sufficiency, determining eligibility for assistance through various AppCAA programs and by the local Department of Social Services, such as financial assistance, childcare assistance, and other programs. Work involves performing case management, coaching, assessing client needs, coordinating provision of needed services and maintaining case records. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with excellent oral and written communication skills required. Some college in business, human services, or related field preferred. Drug screening and background check required. Finance and Human Resource Assistant

The Appalachian Community Action and Development Agency, Inc. (AppCAA), a 501c3 non-profit, is seeking a Finance and Human Resource Assistant. AppCAA offers a variety of programs focused on the areas of business & economic development, children’s programs, housing & community solutions and volunteer programs. Each program is designed to help individuals and families at every stage of life. This position will assist the Executive Director with human resource duties including onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel files and updating personnel policies. Assisting the Finance Director with accounting duties including monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, monthly billings, etc. Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in accounting and human resources preferred.
