Passionate leader sought for Executive Director role at Appalachian Community Action (AppCAA), a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to eliminating poverty in Lee, Scott and Wise Counties by enabling residents to achieve self-sufficiency. AppCAA’s areas of focus and service include housing, financial empowerment and nutrition. AppCAA delivers housing rehabilitation, weatherization, summer and afterschool feeding, tax preparation, financial coaching, housing counseling, volunteer and various emergency services programs. The ED of AppCAA manages agency staff and reports to a diverse Board of Directors. Applicants should bring experience managing a nonprofit organization, or a complex nonprofit program, familiarity with Community Action, and strong leadership, financial management, grants management, communication and planning skills. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Salary base $45,000.
